Main works on the second line of "Gryazovets – Slavyanskaya CS" section completed
STROYGAZMONTAZH have completed a complex of main construction and installation works on the second line of the “Gryazovets – Slavyanskaya CS” section, which is being built as part of a project to develop UGSS gas transmission capacities in the North-West region. The gas pipeline passed through the Volkhov, Kirishi, Tosno, Gatchina, Luga, Volosovsky and Kingisepp districts of the Leningrad Region.

The Customer is Gazprom invest, General contractor is STROYGAZMONTAZH, and Subcontractors are Lengazspetsstroy, Krasnodargazstroy, SCC Gazregion, Neftegazkomplektmontazh, SU-2, SPH Nauka and KUBANGASENERGOSERVICE.

On the section “538 km – 852.7 km” (pipe diameter is 1400 mm), the construction of the second string of the gas pipeline has been completed in full as well as more than 50% of the construction of the first line. The construction and installation works are being completed at the section “852.7 km – 859.5 km” (four strings 800 mm in diameter).

During the construction of the gas pipeline, 12 river crossings were made, four of them on the section “538 km – 852.7 km” using the trench method and eight crossings on the section “852.7 km – 859.5 km” by the HDD method. The longest of them – a two-line crossing of the Volkhov River – amounted to 754 m.

On the section “538 km – 852.7 km”, 13 block valve stations (including the block valve station on the first line) and two connection points were installed, and on the section “852.7 km – 859.5 km” four more block valve stations were installed.

At the second line of the gas pipeline on the section “538 km – 852.7 km” nitriding has been completed, special work is being completed, preparations are underway for starting gas supply.

The main work continues on the first line of the gas pipeline; the completion is scheduled in June 2020.
