Sections 2.7 and 2.8 have been built on the Power of Siberia gas pipeline
SCC Gazregion completed the main construction and installation works (welding, insulation, laying and backfilling) at the sections 2.7 and 2.8 of the Power of Siberia gas trunk line. 334 km of the linear part of the pipeline has been built. The general contractor is STROYGAZMONTAZH.
At the section 2.8, the main construction and installation works as well as pneumatic tests were fully carried out back in 2018. At present, the tests are being completed at the section 2.7.
In the course of construction, 14 block valves and one connection point were installed at two sites, six crossings of roads and two crossings of the existing oil pipeline were made.
Work continues on engineering protection, reclamation, construction of access roads to the block valves.
The construction and installation works at the section 2.8 were started in June, and at the section 2.7 – in September 2016. The gas pipeline route passes through the territory of the Shimanovsky and Magdagachinsky districts of the Amur Region and is characterized by strong waterlogging, hilliness and the presence of rock inclusions.
The Power of Siberia gas trunk line is the largest gas transmission system in Eastern Russia designed to transport gas from the Irkutsk and Yakutsk gas production centers to the Far East and the People's Republic of China.
