Gazprom and the largest construction companies agreed to establish the Association
A Memorandum of understanding between PAO Gazprom and the largest construction companies was signed during the 6th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum, which was held in St. Petersburg.
The document was signed by Vitaly Markelov, Deputy Chairman of Gazprom's Management Committee, Sergey Garaev, STROYGAZMONTAZH’s Chief Executive Officer, Stanislav Anikeev, Stroygazconsulting’s Chief Executive Officer, and Vladimir Kartashyan, StroyTransNefteGaz’s Chief Executive Officer, in front of Alexey Miller, Chairman of Gazprom's Management Committee.
As stated in the document the Parties are intended to establish the Gas Industry Builders’ Association to coordinate the technology development and enhance the regulatory framework for facility’s construction in the gas industry.
The targets of the Association are following, without limitations: implementation of unified principles of construction activities management based on national and international practices, standardization of existing technical solutions and technologies, and implementation of new ones, including innovative, power- and energy-saving solutions.
Moreover, the Association will carry out technical regulation of construction, maintenance and repair activities, related to facilities of the gas industry. It’ll develop national and international construction standards, rules and regulations.
The 6th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum, where STROYGAZMONTAZH has taken part, is the most significant event of the oil and gas sector, the main platform to discuss vital problems and establish effective cooperation between the leading players of the gas industry. The Forum hosted over 3 000 people from 36 countries, including representatives of Russian and international companies, government bodies, innovation centers and design institutions.
The 4th International Specialized Exhibition InGAS Stream 2016. Innovations in the Gas Industry and the 5th International Congress of Oil and Gas Professionals have been held as a part of the Forum.
