JSC «SGM» pays special attention to the matters of health, savety and environmental protection. SGM Group of Companies complies with all the health requirements, industrial and fire safety, as well as environmental laws.

JSC «SGM» has a developed and implemented Environmental Management System (EMS) in compliance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 14001:2015 and Russian standard GOST R ISO 14001–2016, the company has an approved and effective Policy of quality of environmental protection, health and safety.

In order to decrease the negative impact on the environment STROYGAZMONTAZH employs efficient technologies, equipment and new materials. For example the method of horizontal directional drilling (HDD) is actively used for crossing natural and man-made barriers; intensive water treatment is performed using special technologies during hydrotesting of pipelines; the time between spawning seasons is strictly observed when working at the water bodies; bank protection and erosion control measures are taken.

The Company’s efforts on preservation of the environment during construction were appreciated by the expert community. JSC «SGM» has received an award «100 Best Companies of Russia. Environment and Environmental Management» in the category «Technologies of the Year» for using the horizontal directional drilling method for laying the Dzhubga — Lazarevskoe — Sochi gas pipeline.

Ensuring safe working conditionas and health of the employees is a priority of the corporate policy of JSC «SGM». The company developed and implemented Health and Safety Management System. In 2010 it was certified by DQS (Germany) for conformity with the requirements of international standard OHSAS 18001:2007.

A special assessment of working conditions is regularly performed in accordance with the Federal law of the Russian Federation No.426-FZ dated December 28, 2013. Inspections of the central office and separate divisions of the Company conducted in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 didn’t reveal any harmful exposure in working conditions.
